Major investment in maintaining homes
Technical Services spends over £8.5 million a year maintaining, improving, remodelling tenants' homes to a high, modern standard. We strive for economy, efficiency and effectiveness. We are already two years ahead of the deadline for all our properties to meet the government's Decent Homes standards.
To deliver this high quality maintenance service we have:
- Improved partnering arrangements with our main responsive repairs partnering contractor
- Strengthened gas servicing management
- Achieved consistency in quality standards in communal areas
- Improved void management and
- Developed procurement arrangements to increase efficiency and quality of service

HRH Duke of Kent retraced his father's footsteps, when he formally reopened one of the country's first social housing projects - Kent House, Camden, built in the 1930s.
Technical Services invested £490,000 upgrading the grade 2 listed building. Major work included repainting and replacing 170 windows and balconies.
Partners were builder TH Kenyon, architect Philip Bailey and project manager Traico.
