Board of SPH Housing
Alison Lowton (Chair) is a Solicitor and has worked in London local government for many years. Her last permanent role was as Director of Law Administration for the London Borough of Camden. Since retiring she has undertaken investigations and interim management roles.
Paul Dack (Vice Chair) is the Finance Director of the Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust and Deputy Director of Finance for the Josepth Rowntree Foundation.
John Toomey is a retired printer and has been involved in local community activities throughout his adult life, serving as a councillor for Camden for many years. He has been a tenant of SPH for 35 years in Somers Town.
Dr Husna Ahmad has a PhD in Environmental Law. She is currently Chief Executive of the Faith Regen Foundation, sits on the Community Development Forum of the London Health Commission and is a trustee of the Centre for Muslim Affairs.
Philip Dawson is a Director of Fraser Brown MacKenna Architects that specialises in affordable hostels and housing. He is also a school governor and Board Member of Art & Architecture, which campaigns for better places through good design.
Nicole Njie has worked in supported housing for more than 14 years, most recently as Director with a national Responsible Social Landlord.
Paulette Rose is a qualified teacher of English To Speakers of Other Languages and has been involved in many SPH tenant panels.
Group Chief Executive
Karen Wilson, BA (Hons), FCIH
Karen Wilson is the Chief Executive of the Origin Group, comprising SPH Housing, Griffin Homes and Origin Properties.
Karen has extensive experience and expertise gained from a career in housing spanning 25 years. Starting out as a management trainee with Sheffield City Council, Karen has since worked for London Borough of Greenwich, as Regional Director and then Director of Planning and Operations for over 10 years at Metropolitan Housing Trust and most recently at English Churches Housing Group as Director of Operations.
Director of Housing Services
Kate Farley
Kate Farley joined SPH Housing in September. With over 20 years experience in housing, Kate joined us from The Abbeyfield Society, where she was Group Operations Director, setting up and running a new national RSL. Before that, she was a management consultant working for voluntary organisations in America, and has also previously been chief executive of Family housing association in Birmingham.

Cathy McCarthy
Previous posts include Elderly Services Manager at PCHA with earlier posts in housing advice with CHAS and LB Islington. She was appointed Director of Care & Support in July 2003, following roles of Community Care Manager and Deputy Director with SPH Housing.
